I finally got my prio photocard in Hongdae!
If you’re a photocard collector like me, let me introduce you to heaven on earth for K-pop fans: Poca Spot Hongdae.
Whether you’re hunting for your bias’ rare photocard or just want to browse through thousands of official and good-quality cards, this is the place to go when you’re in Seoul.
What is Poca Spot?
Poca Spot is known as the world’s largest offline photocard store. They have two branches. One in Hongdae and another in Myeongdong.
I went to the Hongdae branch, and yes, that’s where I finally got my prio photocard. I would like to call it Wonwoo Batangas because this photocard was shot in my hometown, Batangas, Philippines.
My Experience at Poca Spot Hongdae
The coolest part about Poca Spot is how convenient and organized everything is. On the 3rd floor, you can use a tablet to search for your photocards. The system is super fan-friendly because it’s available in English, Chinese, Japanese, and Spanish.
Everything is neatly categorized. First by group, then by member, and even by unit. The prices are also indicated there already so you have an idea how much the photocards cost.
Of course, I went straight to SEVENTEEN’s Wonwoo (my prio bias 😍). And yes, they had the exact photocard I was looking for! I still had other photocards left on my list, but this time I focused only on the ones I really wanted, saving the rest for my next visit.
I also checked for my other bias groups like Super Junior and DAY6.
How Much Do Photocards Cost?
Prices really depend on the group, rarity, and type of photocard. From photocards priced at 4,500 KRW to rare ones that go up to much higher prices.
There were photocards that I wanted but are currently out of my budget so I had to skip them for now. But I’m just so thankful that my top-priority photocards didn’t reach such high prices.
Staff and Store Atmosphere
The staff at Poca Spot are honestly so kind and accommodating. They’re always smiling, and they really do their best to help, especially if you’re a foreigner who might feel nervous shopping in Korean.
The store is also easy to find thanks to the big signage outside. You won’t miss it while strolling around Hongdae!
Here are some details of the store
📍 Address: 서울 마포구 와우산로29길 48-14 2층, 3층
🕒 Store Hours: 11am – 9pm daily
💳 Payment: Card accepted (yes, even foreign cards!)
🚇 Nearest Station: Hongdae (Hongik University)
When you order photocards before 4pm, you can claim them by 7pm the same day. If you order after 4pm, you can claim them the next day. They also send you an email when your order is ready for pickup. This is really super convenient!
Gacha, Lucky Draws & Mystery Packs
After checking out the photocards, my friends and I explored the 2nd floor, which is home to Gachas, Lucky Draws, and Mystery Packs.
We tried the SEVENTEEN Lucky Draw and the thrill of not knowing which photocard you’ll pull is honestly addicting. It’s also so fun to scratch the card and the photocard you will get is based on that number. Highly recommend it if you love surprises!
