My First DAY6 Fanmeeting: I Need My Day in Seoul

I attended my first ever DAY6 Fanmeet

After being a fan since debut, this is my first time attending a DAY6 fanmeeting. DAY6 did their fan meetings before in South Korea and other countries like Thailand. But as far as I can remember, they never did a fan meeting in the Philippines. Therefore, I haven't experienced attending their fan meeting. (although I am present on their concerts).

To be honest, I was again contemplating whether to attend this fan meeting or not. Mainly because of the money and schedule. DAY6 fan meeting is on the same weekend with Super Junior's concert. Although it would be good since I just need to go to Seoul once, but that also means I have to go back to Busan either Sunday evening or Monday morning since I have a Monday class.

So, I still tried to buy a ticket. If I have bought a ticket, then I will go. If not, then not. When I was at the PC bang trying to buy ticket, my time is almost over but then YES24 website is still not working. So, I was like, "I give up." But then, while eating dinner, I still try to connect using my phone and ended up being able to buy a ticket on the third floor. The universe allowed me see DAY6 once again.

DAY6 Fanmeeting

The venue for the fan meeting is the same as the venue for their Welcome to the Show concert. That's why I was already familiar with it. And since I don't plan on lining up for the merch and I have no other MyDays to meet at the venue, I just decided to enter around less than an hour before the fanmeet starts. Although I don't recommend it since it was hot and I wanted to rest more before the fanmeet starts.

I was not really active with DAY6 & Myday community therefore I didn't know that there was a DAY6 dance challenge going on in Tiktok. So, this was my first time seeing it at the fanmeeting. And it was really cute because they danced it with their character mascots.

What I love about their mascots is that they really portray the character of the members as well. Like they share the same braincells.

But the most memorable happening for me in this fanmeeting is when Sungjin sang a short part of Afraid. Of all the DAY6 songs, even if I have my other favorites, Afraid is the song that I really wanted to hear live. That's why I hope DAY6 will include this song in their upcoming concert. I don't know but Afraid holds a special memory for me.

Aside from that, I also love the fact that DAY6 showcased their individual stages. This fanmeeting is really different from a concert. Plus, I really love Dowoon's goofiness.

Another memorable experience is I saw my name on the screen. At the last part, they flashed all the names of the My Day 4th Generation and seeing it means so much for me.

For this fanmeeting, I didn't video much since I just wanted to enjoy the moment. I only had few fancams and photos of the events but this will continue to stay in my heart and mind forever. I can't wait to see DAY6 again soon.

PH ELF Attended Super Junior Super Show Spin-off: Halftime in Seoul

My 14-year old self is so proud

If you have read one of my blog posts about me being a fangirl, you would know that I started becoming a fan of K-Pop because of Super Junior. I became a fan in 2010 but it took me 5 years to be able to see them live. It also took me 12 years to become a VIP in a concert.

And now, another achievement.

After 14 years of being an ELF, I have finally watched Super Junior in South Korea. Never have I imagined that I will be able to watch Super Junior live in South Korea. I only wanted to see them before.

Pre-Concert

Super Junior's Super Show Spin-off: Halftime in Seoul was held last June 22, 204 at the KSPO Dome. KSPO Dome reminds me both of good and bad times. But for this time, it's for the good memory.

It was raining on the day of the concert but that didn't stop us from taking photos outside and enjoying some activities.

There were merch booth and Superstar SM booth. There were also some photo spots placed around KSPO Dome. I did not do any activities because first, the line on the merch was so long. Second, I am not in the mood to play Superstar SM. And lastly, the line for the photo spot was also long. So, I just decided to take a photo with the KSPO Dome sign.

Compared to the other shows that I have watched, there were no verification so you can just enter the venue as long as you have a ticket.

Concert Proper

This was my view. To be honest, I don't want to be in the floor area. Even though it was seated, I know I will still have a hard time seeing them because the seats are not elevated. But then, my preferred seats were already taken when I checked so I just decided to go for the floor seats.

I really love the opening of the concert. They are so witty. Plus, you can definitely see Super Junior's connections in the industry.

Favorite part of the concert was when they performed the solo songs and made it into a group song. Also, when they used their past fights and created it into a skit to introduce the next unit performers.

If only the people in front of me were not so tall, I think my view was quite okay. Unfortunately, the one in front of me is tall so I had a hard time seeing them when they are on the main stage.

But it's okay because I still enjoyed the performances and segments as well. I just noticed that time flew so fast because I felt like I just sat down and then the concert is already over.

I can't wait to see them again next year for their 20th Anniversary! For sure there will be a lot of fun things that will happen on the concert.

A PH Carat Attending Follow Again to Seoul Day 1

To be part of this amazing event is a dream come true

Not long ago, I attended Follow Again to Incheon Day 1. Although my seat at that time was at the 5th floor, I was still happy because it's SEVENTEEN who I am watching. Just a few weeks after their Incheon concert, SEVENTEEN had their Follow Again to Seoul which was held at the Seoul World Cup Stadium.

For this concert, I am so happy I was able to grab an R-Seat which was much better than my seat in Incheon.

Seoul World Cup Stadium

It is actually my first time going here at the Seoul World Cup Stadium. Everything is new to me so I literally have no expectations. My friends and I decided to take a photo at the back part because for sure there are a lot of Carats in the front part of the stadium. At least here, we can have a solo shot with the venue name and the concert banner.

We arrived at around 10am but I was shocked that there were a lot of people already who are at the venue. Meanwhile in Seoul, there were few people at this time and few people lining up for the Carat Zone.

So, we immediately went to the Carat Zone to claim our photocards. For this time, I got Vernon. If you have watched my mini vlog in Incheon, you will know that I traded my DK pc for a Vernon pc. Since I already have a Vernon pc, I decided to trade Vernon to whoever member (although I honestly wanted to have Hoshi, The8, or Seungkwan). Good thing, a Carat wanted to trade her Woozi to Vernon. So, I am happy to do so.

Concert Proper

This is my view during the concert. And I am so happy because I am close to the extended stage. I can clearly see them when they go to this part. Plus, I can take a better fancam now thanks to my Samsung S24 Ultra.

The concert started a little bit later than 6pm. It was still a bit bright when it started. But after a few performances, the sun has finally set down and we can clearly see the lightsticks.

Compared with the Incheon stop, this venue is really much better. Aside from the fact that a lot of Carats can attend, the stage was much closer to the fans wherever seat you are. I really hope their next concerts will be here as well.

Special Moments during the Concert

Aside from the fact that I got to see them much better now, what I liked the most is that they performed the songs for their new album. Their album was just out last April 29 so they performed these songs prior to the release. It was very special because we were the first people who were able to hear those songs live.

I have been seeing tweets that they will perform these songs but at the same time I had doubts that they will perform it on Day 1. That's why I was so happy and surprised with this.

For this concert, there were no drones. Actually, there was supposed to be a hot air balloon but because of the wind, that event was cancelled. It would have been fun seeing the hot air balloon and I'm sure SEVENTEEN is also excited for that. But for everyone's safety, it is a right move to cancel that.

I actually have no words to say right now. I am so happy and at the same time feeling a little bit sad because I'm missing SEVENTEEN. I am looking forward to seeing SEVENTEEN again on Caratland this year and on the opening of their new tour.

While waiting for them, I will just stream their new album. I'm excited for my album to arrive as well.

A PH MyDay Attending DAY6 Welcome to the Show Concert in Seoul

It feels good to see DAY6 again!

After their hiatus for almost three years, DAY6 finally came back with a BANG! To celebrate their comeback, DAY6 released their comeback album "Fourever" with the title track, "Welcome to the Show". Their title track eventually became the name of the their concert as well.

Jamsil Indoor Stadium

DAY6's Welcome to the Show concert was held at Jamsil Indoor Stadium with a capacity of 11,069. Since they have a 360-degree stage, they were able to maximize the stadium well. They had their concert from April 12-14, 2024.

I attended the second day of the concert because I believe it's the best time for me since I still have classes on Friday and Monday.

I am so thankful I met some PH MyDays outside so I was able to take a photo with this poster.

Compared to SEVENTEEN's concert, I went to the venue a little late because I have no friends to meet at the venue anyway. I actually went there around lunch time to check if the line for the merch is long. But since it was long, I just decided to go to the My Day Zone.

There were no line at the My Day Zone so I was able to get my special gift fast. After that, I went to a cafe to meet some of my GKS friends. I then went back to the venue at around 4:30pm since we will start entering by 5pm.

When I went back to the venue at that time, I noticed that the line for the merch is gone and the merch that I want is still available. So, I was able to buy it. I will share another blog post about my unboxing.

Concert Proper

This is my view at the concert. I was really happy I got this seat. I really wanted to be at this section but I never expected that my seat will be in the first row. Although there's a clear barricade in front of me, it didn't hinder my experience.

The stage was really good. I love the 360-degree stage. If they're bringing this in Manila, I think Araneta is a good place to have this kind of stage.

During the start of the concert, Sungjin was facing my side. But since the stage is turning around, I was able to see Young K and Wonpil as well. This concept was really good because everyone can have a good look at all the members.

The last time I saw DAY6 was during Gravity in Manila which was in 2019. I was actually expecting that I will cry during the concert but I felt excited to hear them again rather than an overwhelming feeling.

I was actually torn if I should take videos or just enjoy the concert. Because honestly, you would really want to just sing along with them than take videos. But at the same time, I have to practice using my Samsung S24 Ultra.

Special Moments during the Concert

This is not my first time seeing DAY6. And definitely this is not my first time seeing them upclose. Because last Gravity in Manila, I was able to have a hitouch with them. But little did I know that there will be another upclose encounter with them.

Young K and Dowoon happened to walk in our section during the encore part. Like what I have mentioned earlier, I am in the first row so they were literally in front of me. I didn't expect them to be this close to me. Plus, they really glowed up from the last time I saw them.

Young K's and Dowoon's skin were glowing. I really envy their face that's why I want to have a facial here in Korea as well. haha

Although Wonpil and Sungjin didn't come to my side, I'm still happy to experience that I get to see them.

I was also so happy to hear "Happy", "Welcome to the Show" and "I Would" during this concert. I am still hoping to hear "Afraid", "Zombie", and "Marathon" soon.

My First SEVENTEEN Encore Concert

The moment that I have finally waited for - SEVENTEEN's Encore Concert in South Korea. Since I only became a fan of SEVENTEEN around 2020, this will be my first encore experience since Be The Sun didn't have any encore concert in South Korea. What made it more fun is that this is the first OT13 throughout the whole Follow concert.

Incheon Asiad Main Stadium

SEVENTEEN Follow Again to Incheon happened at the Incheon Asiad Main Stadium which has around 30,000 capacity. The whole venue is so wide that going from the Merch Zone to the Carat Zone will take you a long walk. But I like it that it's big so that there are a lot of space for people since there will be a lot of people coming.

My friend and I arrived at the venue at around 10:30am. The reason why I wanted to go early is so that I can take photos when there are few people only. They have a lot of photo spots as well during this concert.

Of course I need to take a photo with Team SVT and Bongbongie.

Aside from that, I was also able to meet with some of my Carat friends. Because the signal was so bad, I wasn't able to meet most of my friends. But I'm still happy I got to meet some.

There were also a lot of restaurants near the stadium so you can eat there also before going inside the stadium. My friend and I ate Jjimdak which was actually good. I didn't have much photos when we ate because I was so hungry and sleepy.

Concert Proper

This is my view from the 5th floor. It's really far. Probably the farthest I have been to. My view was kind of obstructed too because of the speaker tower as well as the barricade. But like what I always say, there's no bad seat if SEVENTEEN is the one performing.

But mainly, I just stare at the LED screen because I am really so far.

The concert started at around 6pm KST. The sun hasn't gone down by this time so it's still a bit bright during the start of the concert.

If you have watched some of my fancams, I literally shouted when Woozi, Wonwoo, Dino and S.Coups appeared on the screen. Mainly because of their hairstyles. They have new hairstyles so I was really shocked during that time.

I don't know but I really like this look of Wonwoo. Compared to his short hair during Super, I prefer this long-haired Wonwoo. He looks even more handsome. So yes, I entered as a Wonwoo biased and I left as a Wonwoo-biased still. *ehem Joshua (my other bias) I still love you*

Special Moments during the concert

I'm so happy that they still *almost* retained the setlist from the Follow Tour. I still was able to hear Pinwheel, Run To You, All My Love and Together. Although I was heartbroken that Kidult and To You was no longer part of the setlist. I was actually waiting for the OT13 Kidult and To You.

But even if I didn't get to hear those songs, I was able to hear Yawn and Ima (Korean version), and Headliner live which made my concert experience still special.

Another special moment from the concert is the drone show. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to see it because it was covered by the roof. But it still gave me goosebumps just by looking at the screen.

They really poured it all during this concert. I felt that they were really sincere with their love for Carats. And I'm proud to be one. Like what the message on the drone show says, "I'll be Carat again if I were to be born again".

This whole concert made me realize how much special SEVENTEEN is to me. It's not my first time seeing them but it will always feel like it is. They are just a group you really won't be able to resist.

I attended Jeonghan's cupsleeve event in South Korea

I used to attend cupsleeve events in the Philippines. Not all the time, though. But I had attended such events. When I saw that there will be a cupsleeve event for Jeonghan's birthday and it was near my place, I decided to visit it.

What is a cupsleeve event?

Cupsleeve event is an event to celebrate an artist's birthday, anniversary, or a special occasion. At first, these events were handled by fansites or fanclubs of the certain artist. But recently, anyone can handle their own cupsleeve events.

These kinds of events allow you to enjoy your drinks while meeting other fellow fans. Aside from that, you will also receive freebies from the handler of the cupsleeve events. Just note that these freebies may run out immediately.

My experience attending a cupsleeve event in South Korea

I went to this event a little bit late because of my schedule. If I'm not mistaken, I went here on the last day. Therefore, the cupsleeve itself no longer has stocks and I only received few freebies.

But it doesn't matter to me actually.

The important thing here is that I was able to celebrate Jeonghan's birthday and support my fellow Carat's preparation for this event.

They were streaming Seventeen's concerts/fanmeets

I am not quite sure if there was a program for this cupsleeve event, but when the time I went there, there was none. In fact, there were no people inside the cafe.

In comparison to Philippine cupsleeve events, there is usually a program where you can play games with your fellow fans, win prizes, and just have fun. More like a gathering.

I was with my fellow GKS scholar, Uldana. Like what I have mentioned earlier, you will receive freebies for this event. I got postcards and photoprints.

The funny thing is, I forgot to take a photo of the drink itself because I was too focused on the concert that they were streaming.

Overall, I enjoyed my first cupsleeve event in South Korea and I hope this won't be the last event that I can attend to.

Thai heartthrob Dew Jirawat holds 1st Solo Fanmeet in Manila

It is Dew’s third visit in Manila within a year and the fans’ excitement grew bigger than his past visits.

He commenced the night by singing “In the Wind”, an OST from F4 Thailand, which brought back so many memories from the series as well as from “Shooting Star in Manila”, their concert last November 2022.

After his first performance, he jokingly said that he feels like he’s in club partying with fans because of the energy that they gave off and the first thing that he remembered from his last visits was the phrase “Mahal kita baby” (I love you, baby) and the crowd went wilder than before.

To start the next segment, he was asked for three keywords that can describe the night’s event and he answered “love, power and baby”. After that he was then asked to answer some questions in different categories, based on the icons that he will choose.

Top three essentials that he brings during shooting/ filming: he started by saying “my phone, me to shoot, my watch" then proceeds to “my heart and my brain” which made the fans and even the host laugh due to his humor.

When asked what he would be if he’s not an actor, some fans shouted “asawa ko” (my husband/partner), but Dew cut them out saying “love is not an occupation, love is not a work” and playfully point his finger to them as everyone laughed since no fan can apply as his wife/partner now for that reason! He then answered that he’ll probably become as cartoonist/ illustrator.

The next question focused on the songs that he is currently listening to. He said that he won’t give those because it’s his songs but ended up telling it too – “About You” by The 1975 and “First love”. The fans teased Dew for a line of the song. He said that they song that they are requesting is not the same song that he was listening to but he still sang a part of “First Love” by Nont Tanont.

Dew also played “Pinoy Henyo” with the rest of the fans but he failed to win. As a punishment, he needs to do cute poses. After the games, he proceeds to sing “โต๊ะริม” (Melt) by Nont Tanont.

“Melting because of Dew”

In the next part of the show, he was asked to react to some of the videos from his recent projects. First video is from Home School: The series with Jane Ramida Jiranorraphat, where he played as Nai. He described Nai as very aggressive and straightforward but innocent.

Second video is a snippet of “I Do” by (G) I-DLE, a music video that he filmed with Tu Tontawan. The fans are satisfied about the project because they saw a happy ending between Ren and Gorya, played by Dew and Tu, the ending that they didn’t get during F4 Thailand. Dew also shared that he didn’t have a “puppy love” during his high school days because he studied in an all-male school back then. His message to the student Dew made the hall echoed with laughter but the fans can’t deny it because it’s a fact – “When you grow up, you are very handsome”.

Dew also performed Bright Vachirawit’s “My Ecstacy” and his rapping skill shocked the whole fandom that night! He tried Filipino snacks like Halo-halo, Turon and Chicharon. He liked all of the snacks but Turon left the biggest impression to Dew. He even asked where he could buy it.

The fans prepared a VCR for Dew and surprised him with a birthday cake, took some photos with the crowd as he expressed his gratitude for the unending support of his fans and even asked the fans to teach him how to say “please stay with me, forever” in Filipino. The fans teased him by saying “walang uuwi” (no one will go home) but Dew replied that the fans can stay in the hall and he will go outside to buy Turon. Until the very end, his wittiness prevailed.

He then performed his latest song “North Star” in which he partnered with Prim Chanikarn in the music video. “It’s only you, อยากให้รู้ว่านานแค่ไหนก็เป็นเธอ” (It’s only you, no matter how long, it’s always been you) …Fans waited for several months just to see Dew Jirawat again, and he will always be worth the wait.

The Dew 1st Solo Fanmeet in Manila was held last October 14, 2023 at Samsung Hall, SM Aura Premiere.Thank you so much Makeitlive for bringing Dew Jirawat back to the Philippines as well as for the invites!
