SEVENTEEN Right Here Goyang Concert: A Rollercoaster of Emotions for Carats
October 19, 2024SEVENTEEN Right Here Kicks Off in Goyang: My Experience at the First Stop of the World Tour
SEVENTEEN has officially begun their new world tour, SEVENTEEN Right Here, starting with an electrifying two-day concert in Goyang. Held on October 12-13, 2024, at the Goyang Stadium, the event was an unforgettable experience for fans (Carats) who gathered to support their favorite K-pop group.
For those unfamiliar, Goyang is located just outside Seoul. To get there, you can take the subway's orange line and alight at Daehwa Station (the last stop). There’s also an express bus available from Seoul to the venue for added convenience.
Ticketing Woes: Navigating Interpark’s New System
@annyeongruth I’m happy I was able to secure at least one ticket for SEVENTEEN Right Here World Tour in Goyang. Interpark had a new system. See you again soon SEVENTEEN! #kpop #seventeen #interpark #concertticketing ♬ Ima -Even if the world ends tomorrow- (Korean Ver.) - SEVENTEEN
The ticketing process for this concert brought its own challenges. Following the issues with ticketing for Caratland 2024, Interpark implemented a new system where each account could only queue on one device at a time. Previously, I could join the queue from multiple gadgets and tabs, which increased my chances of scoring better seats.
This time, there was only one queue for both Day 1 and Day 2. My queue number was around 70,000 - better than my usual 200,000 - but still not ideal. By the time I entered the site, VIP and R seats were sold out, so I settled for an S seat for Day 1.
I prioritized Day 1 tickets since the excitement of a new tour usually comes with surprises, including a fresh setlist. Although I couldn’t secure my preferred seating, I was grateful to have a ticket at all!
Memorable Highlights from the Concert
My Most Unprepared Concert Yet
If you follow me on social media, you know I usually put a lot of effort into planning concert outfits. However, October was packed for me - from attending DAY6’s Forever Young concert and BIFF 2024 to juggling school and work. I barely had any time to sleep, let alone prepare, so I ended up wearing whatever I could find.
To be honest, I regret not getting enough rest before the concert. It definitely affected how much I could enjoy the event.
Reuniting with Friends
One of the reasons I love attending SEVENTEEN concerts in Korea is the chance to meet friends from the Philippines. Strangely, we find it easier to meet here than back home!
I arrived at the venue early to catch up with them, and I’m especially thankful for their help in securing SEVENTEEN merchandise - a jacket and a group picket.
The Lucky Joshua PC Trade
If you’re unfamiliar, the Carat Zone PC (photocard) is a special random card for concertgoers with an active membership. I was hoping for a Joshua, DK, or The8 PC. I initially pulled The8 and was content, but my luck changed when someone nearby wanted to trade her Joshua PC for The8. As a Joshua-biased, I did not let go of that chance.
Performances of New Songs from Spill the Feels
Just as I hoped, SEVENTEEN performed tracks from their latest album, Spill the Feels. Each unit showcased a new song:
Hip-Hop Unit: "Water"
Performance Unit: "Rain"
Vocal Unit: "Candy"
The entire group also performed Love Money Fame, making us one of the first audiences to witness these songs live.
An Amazing Setlist with Nostalgic Hits
While I still think the Follow Tour had the best setlist, this one didn’t disappoint. They surprised us with "Ash," a fan-favorite long requested by Carats. Other highlights included:
My favorites: "Cheers to Youth," "Hitorijanai" (Korean version), "Ima Even If the World Ends Tomorrow," "Campfire"
Songs I’d longed to hear live: "Lilili Yabbay," "Home," and "If You Leave Me"
A First: Not an OT13 Concert
This was my first SEVENTEEN concert without all 13 members. Jeonghan has enlisted in the military, and Jun was filming a show in China. Their absence was noticeable, especially during iconic parts of songs like "Fear" and "Fearless."
Still, Jeonghan showed his love by attending the concert as part of the audience, which warmed our hearts.
A Small Fire Incident
A minor stage fire temporarily halted the concert, but instead of panicking, fans were busy screaming when news spread that Jeonghan was in the audience. Thankfully, the incident was quickly resolved, and the show resumed without injuries.
Emotional Rollercoaster: "If You Leave Me" and "Aju Nice"
Their final segment had me in tears. During their ments, I was contemplating taking a break from fangirling because of how exhausted I’ve been. Then they performed If You Leave Me, and I felt guilty for even thinking about stepping back.
The emotional drone show made me cry even more, especially when the words "How are you feeling?" appeared, only to be followed by "Aju Nice," which made everyone laugh. SEVENTEEN truly knows how to take us on a rollercoaster of emotions.

Now, here I am preparing for the Right Here concert in Bulacan for two days. Who am I kidding? My fangirl heart can never rest!
