DAY6 Forever Young in Incheon: Inspire Arena Experience and Fan Highlights
September 28, 2024DAY6, you truly are everyone's favorite
DAY6's Forever Young is their third world tour, following Youth and Gravity. I had the chance to attend both of their past concerts in the Philippines, but this time, living in Korea, I wasn’t sure if I’d get to attend in the Philippines. So, I was so determined to attend the South Korea leg.
I was surprised when they announced that the concert is going to be held at Inspire Arena in Incheon instead of Jamsil Stadium, where their previous events like Welcome to the Show and I Need My Day took place. Clearly, DAY6 needed a bigger venue to accommodate their growing fanbase.
Smooth Ticketing Experience
@annyeongruth I’m seeing DAY6 again this September for their 3rd World Tour Forever Young in Incheon. Concert ticketing can really be nerve-racking. #kpop #day6 #yes24 #ticketing ♬ Welcome to the Show - DAY6
Unlike previous ticketing struggles, this time the process on Yes24 was surprisingly smooth. There were no frustrating errors or glitches during queuing or seat selection.
Interestingly, seated tickets sold out faster than standing tickets. Like many fans, I also prefer seats since standing through an entire concert can be exhausting.
Memorable Moments at the Concert
First Time at Inspire Arena
Attending a concert at Inspire Arena in Incheon was a first for me, and getting there was easier than I expected. I took the Airport Railroad Train, got off at Incheon International Airport Cargo Terminal Station, and exited through Exit 2. Staff were there to guide us to the shuttle buses heading to the venue, making the process seamless.
Returning to Seoul after the concert was just as organized. Signages clearly directed attendees based on their transportation choices, from KakaoShuttle to private cars to shuttle buses heading back to the airport. Despite the crowd, everything ran smoothly, and I made it home earlier than expected.
Making Korean Friends
Since I went to the concert alone, I wasn’t sure if I’d meet other Filipino MyDays, especially with no one replying to my Twitter messages (lol). So, I decided to take a leap of faith and posted on DAY6’s FAN platform.
To my delight, some Korean MyDays reached out! We met up before the concert, and despite my not-so-fluent Korean, we communicated well. Now, we keep in touch, chatting regularly.
Nostalgic Setlist
As a MyDay since DAY6's debut, hearing a mix of their older and newer songs hit me right in the feels. It brought back so many memories that I couldn’t help but cry. Although they didn’t perform Afraid (a personal favorite), the setlist was incredible and absolutely made my night.
Spotting Xdinary Heroes and SEVENTEEN Members
One unexpected highlight was seeing Xdinary Heroes at the venue! They passed by so close to me, but I was too starstruck to even take out my phone for a video. I just stood there, staring in awe.
Another exciting moment came later when my friends messaged me to say that SEVENTEEN’s DK and Wonwoo were also at the concert. Knowing that Wonwoo, my SEVENTEEN bias, shares my love for DAY6 made me so happy. And DK attending twice? He’s truly a dedicated MyDay! Although I didn’t get to see them since they were seated in a different section, just knowing they were there made my heart full.
