SEVENTEEN Right Here in Bulacan: My Two-Day Standing Section Adventure
January 28, 2025Watching a SEVENTEEN concert in the Philippines will always make you feel ‘HOME’
As someone who has experienced SEVENTEEN concerts abroad (mostly in Korea), watching them perform in my home country hits differently. The vibe, the people, the language - everything feels unique. Don’t get me wrong; I love watching their shows in South Korea, especially when I get to enjoy the full setlist. But there’s always a part of me that craves the warmth of experiencing their concert in the Philippines.
I Survived Two Days in the Standing Section
Never in my wildest dreams did I think I’d survive the standing section for a concert at my age (lol, as if I’m that old). The surprising part? I did it for not just one, but two days!
After being a little far from the stage during their first stop in Goyang, I made it a point to get closer for the Bulacan stop. I was in Standing D1 for Day 1 and Standing J for Day 2. While I could have opted for the bleachers, I told myself this was my chance to see them up close. And it was the best decision ever.
Thanks to the smooth pre-concert process, I wasn’t too tired during the shows. This definitely helped me enjoy every moment of both days.
My Outfit for the Two-Day Concert
If you’ve watched my Goyang Mini Vlog, you’d know I wasn’t able to prepare a proper concert outfit for that stop. But for Bulacan, I made sure to step up my game.
For Day 1, I went for a Hip-Hop Unit’s ‘Fire’-inspired look, while Day 2 was all about a Rose Quartz and Serenity-inspired outfit. Since I’m not blessed with height (lol), I wore platform boots to give me a little boost in the standing section. I first used these boots during DAY6’s The Present concert at Gocheok, and while they were painful then, I added some comfort pads this time, which worked wonders. I also avoided wearing them until the concert was about to start, and thankfully, I felt no pain at all!
Memorable Moments
I finally managed to capture some decent fancams of the members! It’s not my first time seeing them up close, but this was the first time I got such clear photos and videos. Shoutout to the Samsung S24 Ultra for being my ultimate concert buddy. (I still have a ton of fancams to upload - who knows when that’ll happen!)
Another funny and memorable moment was when Joshua Hong turned his back on me during the carts - again! The last time this happened was during their Love Fan Meeting in Tokyo, so all the memories came flooding back. Watching the fancam of this moment cracked me up because I sounded so desperate, yelling for Joshua to look my way. Despite this, I still love him, of course!
Overall Experience
My first-ever concert in Bulacan was Best of Best 2015, and back then, I stayed at a classmate’s house to avoid stress. This time, my friend and I booked a place in Quezon City. Surprisingly, the commute to and from the venue was smoother than expected. Sure, there was traffic—it’s the Philippines, after all but it wasn’t as bad as I feared. We even booked a shuttle, which made the entire experience more convenient.
Concert-wise, I’ll be honest: Day 2 was more fun for me. After Day 1, I told my friend that something felt different - it’s hard to explain, but it felt like something was missing. However, on Day 2, the energy was on another level. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed Day 1 too, but Day 2 just hit differently. Even in the same venue, every day has its own unique vibe.
