Theme Song of my Life Playlist: DAY6 'Maybe Tomorrow'

DAY6 "Maybe Tomorrow" - A Song that Gave me Hope

On May 7, 2025, DAY6 returned with their new digital single “Maybe Tomorrow”, and as expected, it hit me right in the heart. The moment I saw the teaser, I already braced myself. I knew this song was going to be emotional. And guess what? I cried so much during my first listen.

The track is a beautiful mix of lively drum beats, refreshing melodies, and heartfelt vocals - everything we love about DAY6. Young K wrote the lyrics by himself and you can really feel that raw, honest DAY6 emotion all throughout. Sungjin, Young K, Wonpil, Dowoon, and producer Hong Jisang also came together to compose the song, making it a full team effort.

Maybe Tomorrow Music Video

The music video features all four members acting out the emotions of the song. It begins with Dowoon waking up in a daze, Sungjin quietly watching the sunset, and Young K sitting alone in a dark room, drawn toward something unseen. Then comes a dreamlike world, each member floating through warm, peaceful scenes. Wonpil wakes in a bed surrounded by soft clouds, greeted by sunlight pouring through a small opening above. Just like that, the video ends with a quiet but powerful message: there’s always hope for a better tomorrow.

How I Relate to the Lyrics of Maybe Tomorrow

No matter what I do, nothing ever changes

This first line of Maybe Tomorrow hit me hard. Right from the start, the song captures that deep, lingering frustration, working so hard to change your life, only to feel like you’re still stuck in the same place. It perfectly sets the tone and addresses the core emotion: we’re not okay, and there’s a reason behind it.

Where's the path I'm supposed to take in my blurry world?

This line speaks directly to my current season in life. As someone often called the “Jack of All Trades, Master of None,” I constantly feel lost, unsure of which direction to take. Everything feels unclear, and fear keeps creeping in. It’s hard to move forward when you don’t even know where the path is.

When tomorrow comes, it might be better than today

This is the line I think we all hold on to. That hope - that maybe, just maybe, tomorrow will be better. The moment I heard it, I couldn’t stop the tears. Even when I say I want to give up, there’s still a small voice inside me wishing, believing, that things might improve. It’s that tiny spark of hope that keeps us going.

Full English Lyrics

No matter what I do, nothing ever changes
Still, I try this and that
But the pain surrounding me doesn't seem like it's going away
It feels like this moment will last forever
Come on time, flow away, look how I am right now
Tears keep welling up, so I lift my head to hold them back
Where's the path I'm supposed to take in my blurry world?
I don't know, no

When tomorrow comes, it might be better than today
This burning wound might hurt a little less
I wait for the day to get my smile back
Maybe tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow
When tomorrow comes, it might be warmer than today
This skin-piercing coldness might die down a little
I wait for the spring to embrace my heart
Maybe tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow

I want to send it over, even if forcibly
Because it feels like the next might be okay
Even if I can't see it getting better
I repeat the days, imagining what lies beyond

When tomorrow comes, it might be better than today
This burning wound might hurt a little less
I wait for the day to get my smile back
Maybe tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow

And so on, tomorrows will pile up
And then one day
The day I waited for will come to me

When tomorrow comes, it might be warmer than today
This skin-piercing coldness might die down a little
I wait for the spring to embrace my heart
Maybe tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow
