Woozi’s Practice Room in Busan: The Tteokbokki Place Every Carat Should Visit
October 14, 2025It’s not just an old practice room — it’s also a tteokbokki place and a cozy café!
Living here in Busan for almost two and a half years already, you’d probably think this is the first SEVENTEEN spot I visited. But guess what? It actually took me two years to finally come here! Why? Because in my head, I kept thinking, “It’s just nearby. I can go anytime.” And you know what happens when you keep saying that — you never go.
One day, after attending an event, my friends and I were hunting for a good place to eat. That’s when I suggested visiting Cheongnyeon Dabang Busan Gwangan Branch (청년다방 부산광안점) — not only because it’s near the area, but also because it’s the famous place where Woozi used to practice before his trainee days!
📍 How to Go to Cheongnyeon Dabang Busan Gwangan Branch
Address:
📍 Youngdabang Busan Gwangan Branch
Directions:
1. Ride Line 2 (Green Line) and get off at Suyeong Station.
2. Exit through Exit 8.
3. Turn left at the first corner.
4. Go straight — you’ll immediately spot the big Cheongnyeon Dabang (청년다방) signage!
Super easy, right? It’s perfect for both locals and tourists doing their K-pop pilgrimage around Busan!
🍴 It’s a Tteokbokki Place with a Fangirl Twist
You might be wondering, “Wait, Woozi practiced in a tteokbokki restaurant?!”
Well... kinda, but not exactly. The actual practice room is in the basement of this restaurant. But before heading down there, let’s talk about the food first — because wow, you’ll want to come here even just for the food.
Cheongnyeon Dabang (청년다방) offers a wide variety of meals — from their signature spicy tteokbokki, crispy fried dishes, to hearty rice meals. And honestly? The prices are pretty affordable! My friends and I ordered one of their tteokbokki sets (I totally forgot which one 😭), added some chicken sides, and drinks. Everything was chef’s kiss.
Next time, I’m definitely coming back for their tonkatsu!
But the best part? The owners are super kind and welcoming. If they notice you’re a SEVENTEEN fan, they’ll happily chat about Woozi. And yes, they speak English too! So don’t worry if your Korean isn’t fluent yet.
🎶 Woozi’s Old Practice Room — Where It All Began
More than just a room, this is where Woozi received his first music training. It’s the place where he formed his first band, and learned to play instruments like the guitar and clarinet.
Honestly, when I visited, I wasn’t expecting to be allowed downstairs anymore. Recently, the owners decided to stop showing the basement to fans after an unfortunate incident during the Hoshi x Woozi Warning Fancon in Busan. But that day, since it was just me and my friends visiting quietly, the owner kindly brought us down and even told us stories about Woozi.
He shared how Woozi started making music and even funny stories — like how when Woozi comes back to Busan, he wears these totally “ahjussi” (uncle-style) outfits. When kids recognize him and ask, “Are you Woozi?” he jokingly denies it — in full-on Busan accent!
Then came one of the highlights for me, the owner showed us the clarinet that Woozi used back then. He even let us hold it! But I couldn’t bring myself to do it… it felt too precious. I just stared at it in awe, thinking, “This is where it all started.”
💎 A Must-Visit for Every Carat Visiting Busan
If you’re a Carat planning a trip to Busan, make sure to include Cheongnyeon Dabang in your itinerary. It’s more than just a SEVENTEEN spot. It’s a place filled with warmth, nostalgia, and love.
You’ll not only get to eat delicious tteokbokki, but also feel the sincerity of the owners who are genuinely proud of Woozi and happy to share his story.
So come for the food, stay for the memories, and maybe… just maybe… you’ll feel a little closer to Woozi too (or even meet his parents here since they love to visit this place). 💖
