The first season of Squid Game has definitely became the talk about not only in South Korea but in the whole world. To hype up the upcoming Squid Game Season 2, Netflix partnered with Shinsegae Department Store to recreate the set of Squid Game 2 and have the people visit it for free. I had the chance to visit both pop-ups in Busan and Seoul. Although it's the same pop-up, the set-up were different.

There is a photo booth wherein you can take a photo with the uniform and then have it printed. And it's free! My friend, Tiara and I tried it and we got these photos. Aside from that, they will also ask us if they can display our photos on the screen. There is a huge LED screen where the players' photos can be seen just like in the series.

The Busan pop-up and Seoul pop-up have different set designs but both recreates the set of Squid Game Season 2. The Busan pop-up showed the new game which is called Mingle. The game takes place in a room with a carousel rotating at the center. Players must quickly form groups according to a randomly announced number and race to get behind doors that lock, in order to avoid elimination.

Meanwhile, the pop-up in Seoul recreated the main rooms in Squid Game.

While visiting the pop-up in Seoul, my friend, Omar and I met the Filipino actor who was at the Season 1 of Squid Game, Christian Lagahit.

Aside from the pop-up itself, they also have a Squid Game pop-up store so that you can shop for exclusive Squid Game merch. From clothing to accessories, they’ve got so many fun items to choose from. I got myself some merch to bring back home to the Philippines.
