A Fangirl's Pick: Favorite KDrama in 2024
December 29, 20242024 K-Dramas that are really worth watching
Compared to 2023, I can say that I have watched more K-Dramas. Although it's still not as plenty as it was when I was still in college. I think my attention span has decreased for the past years that's why I'm having a hard time being invested on a K-Drama. That K-Drama should really have a great impact on me so that I will continue on watching it.
So far, I was able to finish I guess more than 10 KDramas this year. I still have a lot on my list to watch but I haven't found the time yet.
Lovely Runner
This is my most favorite K-Drama of 2024 - Lovely Runner. It was released at the right time - just when I needed a fun romcom to watch. I have been waiting for this drama because of Kim Hyeyoon. If you have been reading my blogs, you will know that I like Kim Hyeyoon since Sky Castle and loved her even more during Extraordinary You. So, I was really looking forward for this drama.
Because of this drama, I fell in love with Byeon Woo Seok as well. I have found another actor who is so down to earth and humble.
I got so addicted with Lovely Runner to the point that I went to the pop-up stores in Seoul and Busan and even bought an OST album. Not only that, I also went to different filming locations of Lovely Runner. I hope there will be another drama like this in 2025.
Family By Choice
This is definitely one of the K-Dramas that I was looking forward for. Why? Because this is the Korean remake of my most favorite C-Drama, Go Ahead. I wondered how will they incorporate the Korean culture into the story. As of writing, I haven't finished writing my review for this drama but I definitely loved this version as well. It was able to fix some loopholes in the original version without changing the whole story. (I'll be writing a full review of it soon). The casts were perfect as well. Definitely one of my favorite dramas this 2024.
Good Partner
If it's a Jang Nara drama, it will definitely be good. This drama was not really on my list to watch but because I was bored that time, I decided to watch it. Little did I know that I will be hooked with this drama. Because of this drama, I understood more about how divorce works in South Korea to the point that it helped me write our story in class.
Love Next Door
Reason why I got hooked with it? It's because I saw myself with Bae Seok Ryu (Jung So Min's character) - a person who can't say no to people especially at work, the pride of everyone, can't afford to rest or make mistake. I was immediately hooked up with that plot that's why I liked it. Although I have my thoughts on the ending part, it's still a drama worth watching. Plus, the second love team is also adorable.
Marry My Husband
I knew this mainly because it came from a famous webtoon. I have been seeing a lot of webtoon scenes so I also got intrigued. It's also one of the dramas that I really waited for weekly. I love the casts and the story is also nice. Aside from that, it also reminds me of a KDrama that I also like which is Perfect Marriage Revenge. Maybe I like these types of dramas.
How about you guys? What are your favorite KDramas in 2024?
