A Fangirl's Major Life Update

July 31, 2022

I haven't been writing much in this blog. Aside from the fact that I'm busy with life, I'm also going through what people call "quarter life crisis". And it really hit differently this June and July 2022. I'm still thankful for SEVENTEEN and KDramas for keeping me sane though.

It's weird to say that I want to continue being a content creator yet I also want my fangirl trips private. But I have been really contemplating a lot about it. Recently, I tried not being vocal about my fangirl life. Like, I don't usually share about the concerts I watch or attend, my trips, my merch unboxing. It's actually fulfilling in my part because I get to experience everything without thinking of putting it online. But it somehow affected my content creator status.

I know, I'm weird. And I'm still trying to figure things out.

What have I been doing lately?

Concert and Fanmeet

The concert and fanmeets are coming back here in the Philippines. And it's really overwhelming because announcements happen a few weeks before the concert or sometimes 3 announcements happen in one day. Although I'm really just looking forward for SEVENTEEN, Ateez, and The Boyz, it's still overwhelming to see those announcements.

Anyway, the concerts/fanmeets that I watched recently was SEVENTEEN Be The Sun in Seoul Day 1 and Rowoon in Manila. And guess what, it happened on the same weekend. BeTS in Seoul Day 1 was on a Saturday and Rowoon in Manila was on a Sunday. Imagine the stress that these events brought me.

Of course, I really enjoyed Be The Sun in Seoul Day 1 because SEVENTEEN's energy is so high. I really can't wait to watch SEVENTEEN in Bangkok and in Manila this coming October. Meanwhile for Rowoon's fanmeet, I don't know if I'm too tired or the event was a bit bland. It just so happen that Rowoon is so handsome that I still enjoyed the event.

TOPIK

I have been studying the Korean language for quite some time now but I have never tried taking the TOPIK because I wasn't that interested yet. Until COVID happened and I had no chance to take the exam. But since everything is going back to normal, TOPIK is also back. So, even if it wasn't in my plan this 2022, I still decided to push through with it. As of writing, the results aren't out yet. But I'm hoping for a TOPIK I Level 2.

KPOP Event

If you have been following this blog, you know that I'm a volunteer of PKCI. And this is our first offline event since the pandemic happened. Although it's not purely PKCI alone, but still, being with the other PKCI staff makes me feel happy. But guess what, my body needs to adjust. The event was just short but my body ached so much after. I guess I need some exercise.

Birthday Celebration

Ever since I was a child, I really wanted to go to Palawan. And I never thought that I'll get to celebrate my 26th birthday in Palawan with my friends from UP. Our trip to Palawan was a bit unexpected. We were supposed to have a Taiwan trip last 2020 but then the pandemic happened so we had to cancel it. Since we need to use our travel fund, we just decided to go local first.

They booked it on the same week as my birthday (and of Kailah's - the one on the right, her birthday is a day before mine).

Life in the following months

I'm actually not so sure what to do next. I'm just going with the flow but at the same time, I'm still working hard so that I can buy the things that I want and go to places that I want to go. I'm still trying to figure out how my fangirl life will be in the following months. But I'll just try to enjoy every moment.
