KDRAMA REVIEW: Revenge of Others (2022)

December 24, 2022

Recently, I haven't been active in the KDrama world that's why I didn't know that Solomon and Shin Ye Eun have a drama together. I only got to know this because of the clips I see on TikTok. Good thing, Disney+ is already available in PH. This is available in Disney+. This KDrama is really a drama that I really look forward to watch weekly.

Things I like about Revenge of Others

The main leads

I am a fan of Shin Ye Eun ever since her web drama A-Teen. And I am so happy to see her grow as an actress. Meanwhile, Solomon, I knew him since Revenge Note. It's also recently since I saw him in All of Us Are Dead. Little did I know that the two of them will be together in this series.

The chemistry with these two is really good. But aside from that, I have seen the improvement from their acting. They really made every scenes intense with their emotions. I really think that they are suited with their roles.

It makes me look forward for the next episode

Breathtaking. I guess that's the right word. They always end it with a cliffhanger. Which is why this makes me want to watch the next episode. (It's somehow same as Big Mouth).

I don't know if the twists here are unpredictable or I'm just so slow recently. But I wasn't able to predict what's going to happen next. Who's the real culprit. Not until the very last episode. That's why I liked it. Most KDramas nowadays are so predictable. You already know what's going to happen. But good thing, this one isn't.

12 episodes is just enough

I thought at first it's a 16-episode drama but while watching episode 12, it's the end. But yes, I realized that 12 episodes are enough. They didn't drag the drama into 16 episodes which means every episode is so packed. No dull moments.

Final Thoughts on Revenge of Others

To be honest, this didn't blow up much on Twitter or Facebook. I may have liked the series but it's actually quite a typical plot. Someone died. Someone investigate. But what made it special is how they inserted some concerns in the society right now, like bullying, accepting LGBTQ+, mental health, and how teenagers choose to trust themselves more rather than the police.

If you're into dramas like this, I suggest you to watch it. It's available on Disney+.
