I just wanna find myself before I disappear completely

When we're going through what we call adulting, getting lost in the way is a normal thing. We're so focused on what we should do to have a better future that we tend to forget to live our present life. And sometimes, F*ck My Life is just the sentence that can represent our thoughts.

'F*ck My Life' is one of the two title tracks from SEVENTEEN's newest album, FML. I never thought that I will be needing another theme-song-of-my-life. This song is for all those who are lost and tired. It's inspired by everyone around the world.

Last May 7, 2023, SEVENTEEN released their music video for 'F*ck My Life'. This music video is inspired by the famous movie, 'The Truman Show'. The boys actually have been hinting about this on Weverse since before. But as someone who can't get hints, I didn't think it was one.

I love The Truman Show. That's why I was really excited when the music video was released. Aside from the fact that this song will hit differently, I know the music video will create a good storyline too. Some Carats have created threads for the references.

 Although it was just a simple music video without intense editing, it has served its purpose.

The song started with these heavy lines. It's funny how this has been what I have been saying for the past months. Whenever I try to compare myself with other people's achievements, it makes me realize how low I am compared to them. And that's when I start to lose myself, my way.

I just wanna find myself before I disappear completely.

This is one of my most favorite lines in the song. Like what I have mentioned in my previous blog, I have been in my social media break for quite some time already. Last year, social media has consumed most of my time. And I believe that because of it, I started to compare myself with a lot of people online.

I took a break - to find myself, what I really want to do - before the world overpower me and completely lose my identity.

I'm slowly going back to creating contents because I believe that this is what I really wanted to do. But I'm still not interacting with people online as I find myself tired doing it.

I'm getting so tired dreaming by myself. I'm so sick of it all now, just wanna give up.

Another line that hit differently, especially when it's in Tagalog. I, too, want to give up with myself, my dream, just everything. I'm tired of this repetitive life. These are the words that I have been wanting to scream out loud but too afraid to do so. But thanks to this song, I can shout it all out.

F*ck My Life

Although I was a bit skeptical with the title of the song (because I was raised in a very conservative way), this song has hit home. It's a song that I can listen to every time I wanted to give up on my life. It's a song that reminds me that whenever I am feeling numb in this life, I can always find myself and fight for my life

I have added this song as part of my Theme Song of my Life playlist along with DAY6 Zombie and ATEEZ Turbulence to name some.
